What a weekend. Friday night was not very eventful. I was expecting company on Saturday so I spent it cleaning. I got all of the boxes cleared from the dining room and went through all the old mail and receipts. After that I cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen. Everything except vacuuming. Saturday I ended up not going to IKEA, Adrian never called back. It turned out to be a mixed blessing. Emily told me on Saturday that she is going to give me her old TV. It is too heavy and to large for the TV stand I was going to buy for my smaller television. I think she is confused about the TV she is going to give. I admit that I may also be confused but she told me the one in her bedroom is just like the one in her living room. I remember the one in the guest room as being the Sony Grand Wega flat screen tube television. That one was silver and very, very heavy. She is telling me it is the same as the one in her living room which is also Sony but black and larger. Maybe I am wrong but I am pretty sure I remember setting it up for her.
So instead of going to IKEA I ended up going to Northpark with Mom, Emily and Rachel. We had a good time. We started by eating lunch at P.F. Chang's, I had crab wontons and the honey chicken. Then we went and shopped.
Rachel and I were at XXI and she found some things to try on so we went to the dressing room. There was a line for the 40 or so stalls. Rachel and I made it to the front of the line which afforded my a good view of the dressing area. I was basically standing at the front of the line so when sis tried on her clothes she could open the door and I could see her. We were waiting when the door to the first stall opened and a nice looking young woman stuck her head out and tried to get the attention of the attendant. We were standing about 6 feet from her. The look on her face was priceless, disgust, horror, shock. She made it known that the pair of stocking feet visible under the door of the room next to her was taking a piss on the floor. She was mortified, especially since the spray made by the hitting of the pee on the floor had gotten on her bare leg. The rather large group waiting on a dressing room or on someone in a dressing room all looked down to see a rapidly growning puddle originating from a stream coming from between the slightly more than shoulder widths apart stocking feet. This puddle was beginning to reach out into the aisle of the dressing area. The employee was flabbergasted as were we all. She pointed out that this was not part of her job description but being the trooper that she was leaned over the puddle and knocked on the door asking if the person inside was "OK". There was no reply. The employee went to locate her manager. Just as she left the door on the other side opened and a African American woman with a look of shock, surprise, rage leaned out and in a rather large and ethnic tone exclaimed that "Someone is taken' a piss on the flo'!". I am quite sure that the pisser was clearly aware of the comment. After this it sort of turned into an episode of Hee Haw with all the doors of the various dressing rooms opening and heads popping out to see what the hell was going on. Just then the manager enters. He looks at the puddle and sort of rolls his eyes. He straddles it for is has gotten quite large on the wooden floor and knocks on the door. Again, no answer. The manager begins to walk away and the attendant asks "aren't you going to do anything?" and he replied "You want me to clean it up with my bare hands?". Shortly after he left another employee shows up with one of those yellow Wet Floor signs and puts it in front of the door. The stocking feet appear to be getting dressed. At this point it has been about five or six minutes since the first girl announced to the store that there was a situation. Rachel was then awarded a dressing room on the other side. My fellow spectators and I were discussing the situation, "maybe she has a medical problem, maybe she is drunk, or maybe it was a dare". As we were trying to determine the most plausible explanation, the door opened. A very pretty, young woman in her mid to late twenties of presumably white and Asian heritage with long black hair and good make up walked out. She was smiling, almost beaming, with her head held high. She was carrying all of the clothes she was trying on still on hangers. She awkwardly stepped around her puddle and around the yellow moisture hazard sign and quickly walked out saying "Sorry about all that" and made her way through the crowd without missing a beat. We were all in too much shock to say anything. Just like that she was gone and we were all left there to wonder what could have possessed this woman to do what she did. I broke the silence with a "I guess when you gotta go you gotta go" and "this is definitely going into my blog". Well, here it is.
After that I went and got my haircut. It was a guy named Robert at the Regis. He had just recently moved to the area from Chicago. He did a really nice job at a very reasonable price. I will be going back to him.
After that I went home took care of a few things, packed up Marlena and went to Robyn's mothers house. It was after 8. We made some cookies and then proceeded to start the drapes. We never finished the cookies, the dough is in her fridge, but we did manage to finish the drapes at about four in the morning. They look great. I am going to hang them up as soon as I get a curtain rod.
Sunday was not very eventful. I got up late, cleaned the house some, went to Kroger took the dog for a long walk. It was a nice, relaxing Sunday. Loris called and asked if I wanted to meet him and some others at JR's but I declined. I just did not feel like it. I ended up watching Brit coms and going to bed.
Today at work has not been very interesting, I was going to talk to Richard about a change in duties, the sales thing is just not working out. I hate it, I am not good at it. He was not in the office today. I will try tomorrow. I did find out from Becky that he wanted me to get my notary. I filled out the paperwork and she said it would take a month, Mom said six weeks.
I cannot wait to see what happened on Passions today.
